I AM directed to advert to your letter of the 11th ultimo on the subject of the International Opium Commission, in which it was stated that the Commission was to meet at Shanghae on the 1st January, 1909. In view of an urgent inquiry which has been received from the Government of India as to the date of assembly, I am to ask to be informed whether the 1st January, 1909, has been finally chosen as the date on which the Commission will meet.
